The President of the Australian Senate, Senator the Hon Sue Lines has visited the Welsh Parliament in Cardiff (also known as the Senedd Cymru) where she met with the Llywdd (Speaker), Rt Hon. Elin Jones MS in May 2025.

This was followed by a visit to The Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh to meet with the Presiding Officer, Rt Hon. Alison Johnstone, MSP and the Scottish Government’s External Affairs Secretary, Hon. Angus Robertson, MSP.

Senator the Hon Sue Lines said: “As President of the Australian Senate, I have been fortunate to tour many Parliaments around the world and on every visit, I am reminded of our enduring similarities across the parliamentary democratic system.”
