Overview
Women parliamentarians from across the Commonwealth will come together in Westminster, to discuss the impact of trade agreements on gender equality, poverty alleviation and the economic empowerment of women of the Commonwealth. Discussions will centre around deepening participants’ technical knowledge of international trade – from how agreements are negotiated to how parliamentarians can exert influence over the process. Alongside this, delegates will participate in practical sessions focussed on enhancing members’ leadership and communications skills, through shared experiences, common challenges and innovative solutions.
